ID features
Large (3cm) reddish-brown weevils with elongated snout; larvae are massive white grubs in palm crown.
Damage pattern
Wilting/collapsing crown on stressed palms (especially recently transplanted Cabbage, Coconut, Canary Island Date). Holes weeping sap. Often fatal once symptoms visible.
